James Medeiros, baritone, graduated from the University of Western Ontario with his Bachelors degree in Music Performance with honours (2009), where he studied with Professor Torin Chiles. James has sung operatic roles in Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi and Weill’s Street Scene – he was also the recipient of a London Opera Guild Scholarship (2007). Equally versed on the opera and musical theatre stages, he has performed in Sondheim’s Into the Woods, Webber’s Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and Leigh’s Man of La Mancha. James, as a soloist, has also had the privilege of singing with ensembles including Orchestra London, the Woodstock Fanshawe Singers, the McMaster University Choir, the Mohawk College Singers and the Windsor Symphony Orchestra - works of Bach, Beethoven, Haydn, Fauré, Gilbert and Sullivan, Gershwin, Vaughan Williams and Sondheim. James is excited to be collaborating once again with Orchestra London and the Windsor Symphony Orchestra this summer.
